Exercise: Forward Step-Up + Side Lunge

- Stand behind knee-high box, holding dumbbells, wearing weighted vest or bearing some other load
- Step onto box with right foot; raise left knee to waist height. Balance briefly on right foot
- Step off box onto left foot, then right
- Take large side lunge with right foot, keeping left leg straight
- Lower body until right thigh is parallel to floor, keeping weight on right heel and right knee over ankle
- Push off with right foot to return to start position; repeat for specified reps
- Perform on opposite leg
