  • Stand behind knee-high box, holding dumbbells, wearing weighted vest or bearing some other load
  • Step onto box with right foot; raise left knee to waist height. Balance briefly on right foot
  • Step off box onto left foot, then right
  • Take large side lunge with right foot, keeping left leg straight
  • Lower body until right thigh is parallel to floor, keeping weight on right heel and right knee over ankle
  • Push off with right foot to return to start position; repeat for specified reps
  • Perform on opposite leg
