Exercise: Lateral Split-Squat Jumps

  • Assume proper split squat stance with back flat, chest up, hips back, feet forward, knees behind toes and back heel off ground
  • Squat below parallel position and bring arms back into loaded position
  • Explode off ground, switching split-squat stance in midair
  • Land softly on ground in split-squat; quickly explode again into air to complete one rep
  • Continue alternating legs in air for specified reps

Coaching Points: Maintain good split-squat mechanics // Jump as high as possible // Spend as little amount of time on ground as possible // Land softly on feet
