Quickness is the impulse reaction and movement response to a specific stimulus for a short distance or time. Don’t confuse it with speed, which is the rate at which a mass moves [e.g., how fast someone runs]. Example: A defensive back uses quickness to react to a wide receiver’s break and plant, then makes a play on the ball.
