You only have 48 hours to kick it on campus during an official visit. Here are three NCAA rules to know before you get up and go.

Do I have to fork over the dough to get to campus?
Not if you’re heading to a D-I school. It can pay for round-trip coach-class airfare. If you choose to take a road trip instead, the school can cover your travel expenses. Don’t expect limo or helicopter service at any point though; such transportation is prohibited.

Can I attend a home game during my visit?
Yes. In fact, D-I and -II schools can give you up to three complimentary tickets for you and your folks/legal guardian to attend a home athletic event. However, forget about hanging out in the press box or warming the bench with the team—you can only watch from general seating.

Am I allowed to receive money from the school during my visit?
Bring your wallet when you go on official visits, because it’s against NCAA rules for a school to provide you with cash for entertainment purposes.
