I live in Minnesota, so when football season is over, the weather gets real cold. The best way our team unites is with pick-up games of pond hockey and snow football, which is a blast. It keeps us competitive, and they are tons of fun.

[During the off-season], we go to wing night at a local restaurant every Wednesday. On Friday nights, we go to our local bowling alley for glow and bowl.

[During the off-season], we do a lot of team bonding, like social gatherings at a church. We have a Saturday cookout at a coach’s house or one of the player’s houses. We also go through hard weeks of threea- days, which really bring the team together tremendously.

How does your team unite before a game? What about after victory, defeat or deep in the off-season? Is there a prayer or chant you say together before the game? A meal you share? A movie you watch? Bring it to us at letters@stack.com. If we like what you got, we’ll feature your team story.
