Getting your game up to par so you can shoot under par might require some extra practice. If you seek out expert help through private lessons, know these NCAA rules before hitting the links.

A college or university golf coach is permitted to teach private lessons to prospective athletes, but only if the lessons are also available to the general public. The price charged for your lessons must be the same as that charged to other individuals. In addition, the coach’s school must document the transaction, recording the amount of the payment as well as the name of the coach or individual being compensated. The only people who are permitted to pay the fee are your parent or legal guardian, a relative or yourself. You may not be reimbursed for the payment.
