When the temperature starts to plunge, and just the thought of being outside gives you a chill, get your blood pumping with Wii’s Active Life: Outdoor Challenge. With more than a dozen single and multi-player events to choose from, you and your friends will find out whose outdoor game is the hottest.

Active Life: Outdoor Challenge (Namco Bandai Games)
System: Wii

Overview: Taking a cue from the Wii Fit, Outdoor Challenge gets you actively involved in 15 activities, from river rafting to water trampolining, from mini-cart adventure to log jumping.

Active Life Mat: Get off the couch and let the Active Life Mat put your strength, stamina and competitive spirit to the test. Use the mat in conjunction with the Wii remote to control your player’s active movements. As you paddle your kayak or make your way through an outdoor obstacle course, you have to move your hands and feet across the mat’s eight sensors to maintain control. When you jump, your player jumps.

Single and Group Play: All 15 outdoor activities can be done solo or with your crew. Strong multi-player support gives you head-to-head and cooperative player modes on one mat, so you can challenge each other or work together to get the job done. Create a Mii for each player to keep track of high scores and individual records.

Get Fit: Want to work on your endurance, reflexes and strength? All Outdoor Challenge events are broken down into preset workouts. And since it tracks your progress, you’ll see your character’s body change accordingly.
