Story: In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the Gulf Coast, leaving many homeless and hopeless. When 10 displaced basketball players from five rival schools [including the characters played by Bow Wow and Lil’ Wayne] end up at John Ehret High, just outside of New Orleans, Coach Al Collins [Forest Whitaker] is given the task of getting them to play together. Despite the player’s worlds having been torn apart, Collins teaches them how to bounce back from disaster and leads them to glory, bringing home JEH’s first ever state basketball championship.
