After dedicating the last three weeks to crunching numbers, fact-checking and then fact-checking again, the STACK Elite 50 College Rankings is finally complete!

I won't tell you what school claimed the number one spot, but I'll let you know that there's quite a bit of change among the top 50. Also, the gap between the top three schools is a lot slimmer than past years, so next year's edition will be very intriguing, as a few schools will have a say at who ends up number one.

Now that we have our top 50 and sport-specific rankings finalized, we're in the process of contacting the number one school of each sport to interview a freshman athlete for each respective team. We decided to take this year's write-ups in that direction because we believe getting freshmen's recruiting process perspectives-what they looked for in a school and recruiting advice for you-would be most beneficial.

We've conducted a handful of interviews already, and based on their responses, it's evident that each had a unique recruiting experience and different wish lists when choosing a school. They've been through the process recently, so it's a good idea that when you receive your November/December issue, you spend time reading the sport-specific write-ups. Even if it's not the sport of your choice, I'll guarantee you that you'll get some useful information from these college freshmen that will surely help you on your college selection journey.
